Pixelfed ist eine photoblogging Plattform und der Fediverse Ersatz für Instagram.

Wie fühlt sich Pixelfed an?

Pixelfed ist sehr ähnlich wie Instagram. Du kannst Bilder in jedem Seitenverhältnis hochladen und eine Bildbeschreibung hinzufügen. Dein Profil zeigt dann quadratische Kacheln der Bilder, die du hochgeladen hast an.
Je nach Instanz kannst du üblicherweise 4-8 Bilder pro Post hochladen.
Bildbeschreibungen, Hashtags, Lizenzen, Standorte und Sichtbarkeit können bei jedem Post eingestellt werden.
Du kannst Bilder anderer Nutzer*innen liken und sie kommentieren. Du kannst auch Nutzer*innen und Hashtags folgen.

Welche Vorteile gibt es gegenüber Instagram?

Pixelfed ist Freie Software, frei von Werbung, Tracking und Algorithmen die Hass verstärken und Pixelfed ist teil des Fediverse.

Da es Teil des Fediverse ist, kannst du nicht nur anderen Pixelfed Nutzer*innen folgen, sondern auch Leuten auf anderen Fediverse Plattformen. Deren Bilder-Posts werden dann in deiner Home Zeitleiste angezeigt, als wären sie Pixelfed Posts.
