PeerTube is a video hosting platform and the Fediverse's replacement for Youtube and Vimeo.
What does PeerTube feel like?
PeerTube works a lot like Youtube. You can upload videos, subscribe to video channels, comment on videos & like, share and download videos.
What are some advantages over Youtube and Vimeo
There are no ads and no payments for well-performing videos, so there won't be any clickbait and begging for subscriptions.
People who watch a video at the same time share it too, which means a video that is watched a lot doesn't get slower, but faster to load.
PeerTube is part of the Fediverse, so you don't need a PeerTube account to watch videos and subscribe to channels on PeerTube.
You can do that from most other parts of the Fediverse.
