Mistpark may refer to two roughly Facebook-like projects created by Mike Macgirvin:

  • Friendica which was originally named Mistpark when released in 2010 but renamed Friendika the same year
  • Mistpark 2020, also known as Misty, a semi-experimental project forked from Zap in 2020 and declared end-of-life on New Year's Eve 2022 in favour of (streams)
This article is about a Fediverse project that doesn't exist anymore!
The text below might read like the project still exists, but that would just be, because it wasn't updated yet..

What was Mistpark

The first Mistpark is now known as Friendica; see there.

The second Mistpark, Mistpark 2020, also known as Misty, was a semi-experimental project between stable Zap and experimental Osada. On New Year's Eve 2022, it was officially discontinued and superseded by its own most recent descendent, the code of which resides in the Streams repository, and which is very similar in features and handling.

Mistpark 2020 no longer has active instances. It is no longer maintained; (streams) should be installed instead of it.
