Welcome to the Project Quality control.
On this page we collect tasks about assuring the quality of pages on this wiki.
The main tasks for the near future are:
- defining criteria for insufficient quality of an article
- creating templates for warnings about the quality of a page
- marking pages with insufficient quality with one of the warning templates
- listing and categorizing posts with insufficient quality here
- improving those articles and then removing the warnings
Warning templates
The basic template for warning templates can be found at Template:Messagebox and can be used in a template with the code: {{Messagebox |hex= |image= |headline= |body=}}
For now these Category:Warning template exist linking articles in Category:Articles with issues:
- Template:Cleanup {{Cleanup |text=}} Category:Needs cleanup
- Template:Draft {{Draft |text=}} Category:Drafts
- Template:Outdated {{Outdated |text=}} Category:Outdated article
- Template:Under construction {{Under construction |text=}} Category:Under construction
- Template:Unrelated {{Unrelated |text=}} Category:Unrelated
- Template:Internal page with issues {{Internal page with issues |text=}} Category:Internal issues
Criteria
- articles in Category:Beginners guides that contain too much information not intended for beginners
- articles in Category:What are Fediverse projects? that don't follow the Project:Empty Fediverse project template
- articles that are clearly unfinished (generally too short, important headlines missing, sections too short, incomplete lists, ...)
- articles the original author deems unfinished
- articles that haven't been updated in a long time where info should just be checked for errors (e.g. dead links, depreciated projects, ...)
- articles that contain information that is supposed to be regularly updated, but hasn't been in a while
- articles that by nature are never really up to date (should be updated regularly, but message should never be removed)
- articles that are undergoing heavy editing (e.g. moving info to or from other articles)
- articles that are not strictly related to the Fediverse and might be moved somewhere else at some point.
- any page that is in any namespace other than the main namespace and has any issue.
